Anatomy and parametres

TITANthermo PVC windows have been designed to help you control your budget and keep heat in your flat. They are based on the wide Brügmann AD 5-chamber 73 mm profile. The standard metal reinforcements have been replaced here with the MS Thermal System.

This has helped to lower the thermal conductivity coefficient (the U-value) of the window frame by 43% (down to 1.1 W/m ²K PN-EN ISO 10077-2:2005) when compared to standard 3-chamber profiles. When compared to 5-chamber or 6-chamber metal reinforcement windows, the U-value has been lowered in the new windows by as much as30%. The lower this value, the less heat is lost through the window. What is important, the TITANthermo PVC windows, manufactured on the basis of this new technology (U=1.1 W/m ²K PN-EN ISO 10077-2:2005), can be bought for a similar price as the 5-chamber or 6-chamber windows available in the market (U=1.5 – 1.6 W/m ²K).

TITANthermo PVC windows are equipped with high-quality heat-insulating argon-filled panes with the U-value of 1.0 W/m ²K PN-EN 674:1999 (the two-pane set) and high-quality 2-chamber gaskets. Available as an option are the SUPERthermo panes with U=0.5 W/m ²K PN-EN 674:1999 (the three-pane set).

The structure of the window and casement frame ensures very good static properties (high rigidity), excellent soundproofing (RW≥35dB PN-EN-20140-3:1999) and good thermal insulation parameters. This has been achieved through the use of the wide 5-chamber 73 mm PVC profile, MS Thermal System, thermo panes with U=1.0 W/m ²K PN-EN 674:1999 (the SUPERthermo pane with U=0.5 W/m ²K PN-EN 674:1999 is recommended).

The windows have the distinct features of a modern semi-surface staggered casement profile, a rounded 2-chamber glazing bead and gray 2-chamber gaskets with very good thermal insulation properties. An additional solution is the MS Warm Edge Spacer that reduces heat loss and curbs the effect of steam condensing on the panes. As a standard the TITANthermo PVC windows have the special IS security roller cams, ensuring smoother running of the handle with increased tightness of the windows and the special mechanism of finger bolt locking making the closing easier. Every wing under the handle has the interlocking bolt which hampers the burglary. Additionally the tilt-turn wings are customized with the trickle ventilation in the window stay and the stumbling block of improper use of the handle.

The thermo version of the windows with the MS Thermal System is an option for all PVC windows available on MS offer.

Certificates and guarantees

TITANthermo PVC windows’ good parameters have been confirmed according to the PN-EN ISO 10077-2:2005 by the Institute for Window Technology at Rosenheim, Germany. The Institute is responsible for research for Europe’s best window manufacturers. OKNA termo PVC (TITANthermo PVC windows) has become an official trademark of MS. The new Thermal System ensures perfect thermal insulation.

The new windows are currently patent pending and have received the Technical Approval from the Building Research Institute. TITANthermo PVC windows are only available at the Sales Point chain of MS beyond WINDOWS.
